Country Harvest

Last night was amazing. People from all over Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park came to eat at Country Harvest and to support our family. Apparently a table of strangers overheard what was going on and passed a bread basket around for us in addition to the 20% Country Harvest Restaurant donated. The bread basket alone collected $485. You can see photos of nearly everyone who came for dinner here, Country Harvest Photos (Password is "Grace" with a capital G), though I know many people also came for breakfast and lunch too.

We go back to the hospital Monday. Grace will have a blood test to see how her counts are. If her counts are down then she'll likely get a transfusion that same day. If the counts are good then they'll plan a bone marrow aspiration for later that week. The bone marrow will tell us how the cancer has been reacting to the chemo, the doctor said we're hoping for a negative MRD (minimal residual disease).

I have to admit I'm nervous about it. But my family and I are so heartened by the outpouring of love by our church, family, friends and community. Thank you from the bottoms of our heart.
